Seeking: Part-Time Shop Assistant

We’re looking for a passionate, motivated, and dedicated individual to join the Girl on the Wing team! Here at GOTW we are dedicated to offering our customers unique and timeless products in a comfortable, friendly and stylized setting. We love being part of the Hamilton community and seek ways to beautify our surroundings and engage with locals. The ideal new member of our team should be passionate about vintage and design, love this city and have a positive and friendly outlook. The Shop Assistant will work closely with the owner in all matters of running a small retail business; including sales, visual merchandising, buying, event planning and styling. We are a growing company and are looking for someone who wants to play a role in the continued evolution of the store.

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualities/experiences:

-       Fashion education/background

-       Retail experience

-       Organized and attentive-to-detail

-       Desire to work closely with owner along with ability to be self-motivated

-       Flexible availability

-       Desire to grow with business and learn day-to-day operations of a small business

-       Keen eye for timeless style and vintage fashion

-       Above average interpersonal skills

-       Creatively-focused; can contribute ideas to all aspects of business

-       Knowledge of social media (twitter, facebook, instagram, blogging) 

-       Simple sewing skills
